Electro-optical tunable time delay and advance in a silicon feedback-microring resonator

We report the demonstration of electro-optical tunable time delay and advance using a silicon feedback-microring resonator integrated with p-i-n diodes. By controlling the feedback and round-trip phase shifts through the carrier-injection-based free-carrier dispersion effect, we obtain a large dynamic time tuning range (-88 ps to 110 ps) upon dc bias voltage change in the range of few tens of millivolts at a given resonance wavelength. We also demonstrate tunable time delay and advance at different resonance wavelengths within 0.76 nm wavelength range.     

Propagation properties of an optical vortex carried by an Airy beam: experimental implementation

In this Letter, we experimentally studied the propagation dynamics of Airy beams (AiBs) carrying phase singularity or an optical vortex (OV). A 3/2 phase mask encoded with phase singularity was used to generate AiBs and OVs enjoying precise position alignment and compact optical configuration simultaneously. Experimental results showed that the OV deflection velocity was faster than that of the main lobe of the AiB, agreeing with the analytical prediction. Numerical simulation results are also in agreement with the experimental results. Furthermore, OVs with larger topological charges were also studied experimentally with the same approach.     

The electrochemical preparation and microwave absorption properties of magnetic carbon fibers coated with Fe3O4 films

Electrodeposition was employed to fabricate magnetite (Fe₃O₄) coated carbon fibers (MCCFs). Temperature and fiber surface pretreatment had a significant influence on the composition and morphology of Fe₃O₄ films. Uniform and compact Fe₃O₄ films were fabricated at 75 °C on both nitric acid treated and untreated carbon fibers, while the films prepared at 60 °C were continuous and rough. Microwave measurements of MCCF/paraffin composites (50 wt.% of MCCFs, pretreated carbon fibers as deposition substrates) were carried out in the 2-18 GHz frequency range. MCCFs prepared at 60 °C obtained a much higher loss factor than that prepared at 75 °C. However, the calculation results of reflection loss were very abnormal that MCCFs prepared at 60 °C almost had no absorption property. While MCCFs prepared at 75 °C exhibited a good absorption property and obtained −10 dB and −20 dB refection loss in wide matching thickness ranges (1.0-6.0 mm and 1.7-6.0 mm range, respectively). A secondary attenuation peak could also be observed when the thickness of MCCF/paraffin composite exceeded 4.0 mm. The minimum reflection loss was lower.

光自旋霍尔效应中横移的影响因素研究

Rectifying and photovoltage characteristics of Bi<Subscript>2</Subscript>Sr<Subscript>2</Subscript>Co<Subscript>2</Subscript>O<Subscript>y</Subscript>/Nb-doped SrTiO<Subscript>3</Subscript> heterojunction

A heterojunction was fabricated by growing a layer of Bi₂Sr₂Co₂O _y thin film on the 0.7 wt% Nb-doped SrTiO₃ substrate. Such heterojunction showed good rectifying characteristics over a wide temperature range, and its transport mechanism under the forward bias can be attributed to a space charge limited conduction mechanism via defects near the interface of the heterojunction. Photovoltaic properties of the heterojunction were studied by using both continuous-wave and pulsed irradiations and the results can be well explained by the photovoltaic effect of a p–n junction.     

基于分形编码的天体光谱降噪方法

为了降低噪声影响,恢复光谱的连续谱和谱线等主要特征,以便准确测量谱线的等值宽度,文章根据天体光谱自身具有局部自相似性,而随机白噪声不具有自相似性,首次将分形方法应用于天体光谱降噪.实验表明,分形降噪方法对于准确测量谱线的等值宽度、星系红移等参数是有效的,此外,还可以实现数据压缩.分形方法适用于海量光谱的降噪和数据存储.     

线-板式脉冲电晕放电反应器的发射光谱研究

以发射光谱法为基础,检测了常压状态线-板式脉冲电晕放电过程OH自由基在反应器内的空间分布;研究了线电极直径,线线间距以及线板间距对生成OH自由基的影响;从而明确脉冲电晕放电反应器的性能。结果显示:OH自由基浓度沿线电极X轴方向逐渐降低,活化区域半径20mm左右,沿Y轴方向先升高后降低,活化区域半径大于30mm;线电极的直径小于2mm时,OH自由基的光谱强度基本不变,线电极直径继续增大,发射光谱强度随之迅速下降。线线间距逐渐增大,OH自由基的发射光谱强度随之增强。OH自由基的发射光谱强度随着线板间距的增大而降低。
